The provided services aim to shift the balance within the family towards more resources and fewer burdens.
Services of Support
Since January 1, 1994, ASB RV MSE e.V. has been offering outpatient educational assistance in accordance with §27 of the German Social Code (SGB VIII). These services specifically comply with the following legal provisions:
§ 30 SGB VIII Educational Support, Caseworker Assistance
Educational support and caseworker assistance aim to help children and adolescents cope with developmental challenges, ideally by involving their social environment, and to promote their independence while maintaining their family ties.
§ 31 SGB VIII Socio-pedagogical Family Support
Socio-pedagogical family support provides intensive guidance and assistance to families in their parenting tasks, in dealing with everyday problems, resolving conflicts and crises, and interacting with authorities and institutions. This support is usually long-term and requires the active involvement of the family.
§ 41 SGB VIII Support for Young Adults, Aftercare
Young adults are entitled to support for their personal development and independent living if and as long as such support is necessary due to their individual situation. This assistance is generally provided until the age of 21, but in justified cases, it may be extended for a limited time beyond this age.
Fundamentally, the support is voluntary and comes at no cost to the recipient. Access to the aforementioned services is facilitated through the local youth welfare office.

The aim is to improve cooperation between all professionals involved for the protection and well-being of the child.
§8a SGB VIII obliges us to take action when identifying “significant indications” of a risk to the child's well-being. For this purpose, our association employs four specialists with different professions and subject-specific knowledge. The employees were certified as part of a "Qualification measure for skilled workers within the framework of §8a SGB VIII".
Taking into account the provider's internal protection plan, the child protection specialists work in the ASB's daycare centers, after-school care centers and youth welfare facilities. The tasks of the child protection specialist include advising and raising awareness among employees as well as assessing risks and, if necessary, planning further steps. If necessary and necessary, she can work toward obtaining help during this process, as provided for in Section 8a SGB VIII.
